Q. How do I add an email address?
A. To add an email address to your domain. 1. Login to your control panel 2. Go to the SITE tab and in the left menu click on "Mail Management" 3. From here you should see mail forwarding and mailboxes.
To add a mailbox click on the mailboxes link and click on "Add Mailbox" You should then place the address and select either @ "domain" or @"multiple domains" - if your website has more than one domain name pointing to it select @multiple domains. This will make the email answer regardless of which domain it is sent to.
Email forwarding is also considered "email aliasing". For example, if you wanted sales@ to go to a "mailbox" of "user" you would add a forward by clicking on the Mail Forwarding link and entering sales, then selecting which email box you wish this to be delivered to. Additionally you can place a catch-all of "*" in place as well. We caution using "*" as it CAN increase levels of spam since "anything @ your domain" would be accepted. Its wiser to setup only the email boxes and aliases you need to avoid un-needed spam.

Q. How long does it take to setup my account and website?
A. Generally within 24 hours. If your order passes our fraud detection then the order is setup in real time. If there are questions about the order, a staff member may contact you with additional information needed to verify the account. This is our policy for YOUR protection.
Domain registrations generally are 100% completed and propagated within 48 hours. If you registered a domain name with your order and it still isnt showing up after 48hours, feel free to drop us a note to support@iquesthosting.com and a tech support agent will check into it and let you know the status of the domain name.

Q. I've signed up, now what?
A. Once you have signed up and your account has been created, you can begin working with your site. We recommend logging into the control panel and downloading the online USER manual. This file is a PDF and contains specifics on how to do general task like add applications, setup email accounts, add ftp users and much more.
Once you have browsed the control panel and/or have thumbed through the manual, you may add email accounts and set your FTP password. If your domain name is a NEW domain that you registered as part of the order process, it will take up to 48 hours before the domain name registration and the DNS propagation completes so that you see the domain name in your browser. To begin sooner uploading your site you may use the IP address of your server, this can be found under the system tab under the "Server Info" link. You may preview your site as well as FTP your site to this IP address until the domain name is fully registered.
